It was in Istanbul that I started folk dancing at the age of 8. Turkish dance and music have played an important part of my life ever since. In 1984 I moved to Holland to work as a dance instructor, choreographer and musician. From that time on I have been regularly involved in teaching workshops, staging choreographies for different theater groups and as a musician, I participate in concerts throughout the entire country.
In addition I am regularly invited to teach abroad by dance organizations the United States (Maine Folk Dance Camp), Canada (Montreal International Folk Dance Camp), England, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Taiwan and Belgium. I have also cooperated with the production of a CD called International Folk dancing With The Dutch and 5X5 international folk dancing, promoting the work of dance specialists in the Netherlands.
